# How to Update Your Profile and Submit Required Documents

In this guide, we explain how to **update your profile** and provide the **required supporting documents** requested by StackinSat.

### Why is this update necessary?

When you created your **StackinSat account**, you were asked to provide an **ID document** to verify your identity. In compliance with current regulations, **StackinSat must assign a risk profile to each client** to ensure the security of your investments.

Over time, your **risk profile** may change. In such cases, **StackinSat may request additional documents**, such as:

* A **proof of address** issued within the last **three months**.
* Your **latest tax return**.
* In rare cases, **documents regarding the source of invested funds**.

Additionally, between **1 and 3 years after account creation**, **StackinSat will require an update of your supporting documents**.

### How to proceed?

When **StackinSat requests new documents** or an **update to your profile**, follow these simple steps:

#### 1. Log into your dashboard:

* Go to your **StackinSat account** and sign in.

#### 2. Access the "My Profile" section:

* Click on the **"My Profile"** tab on the left-hand menu.
* Click on the **"Profile Update"** link in the top right corner.

#### 3. Upload your supporting documents:

* Scroll down to the **"Supporting Documents"** section.
* Choose the type of file to upload ( **proof of address, tax return, etc.**).
* Select your file from your device.
* Fill in the required information in the form.

#### 4. Finalize the submission:

* Click the **"Next"** button to validate.
* If multiple documents are required, complete the additional steps displayed.

Once your documents are submitted, **StackinSat will review them as soon as possible**. You will be informed of your request's status or if any additional information is needed.
