How to Send Bitcoins from Your Personal Wallet (e.g., Ledger) to StackinSat for a Buyback

In this guide, we will explain how to send Bitcoins from your personal wallet, such as a Ledger device, to a Bitcoin address provided by StackinSat for a buyback.

📽 Watch our dedicated video with all the details: Bitcoin Transaction for a Buyback

Introduction

You have previously purchased Bitcoins as part of a Bitcoin Savings Plan (BSP) with StackinSat, and these Bitcoins were delivered directly to your personal Bitcoin wallet. Now, you want StackinSat to buy them back.

Here’s how to complete this transaction from your wallet.

Step 1: Prepare Your Ledger Device and Open Ledger Live

Connect your Ledger device to your computer or smartphone.
Launch the Ledger Live software.
Click on the "Send" tab.

Step 2: Select the Correct Bitcoin Account

If you have multiple Bitcoin accounts on your Ledger, choose the one from which you want to send the transaction.

Step 3: Enter the Recipient Information

In the recipient field, paste the Bitcoin address provided by StackinSat.

⚠️ Important: Only use the address provided by StackinSat for your buyback. Never reuse addresses seen in tutorials or examples.

Click "Continue".

Step 4: Enter the Amount

Specify the exact amount to send in BTC.

If you want to send your entire balance, use the "Maximum" option (if available in your wallet).
Example: In this demonstration, we send 141,679 satoshis.

Step 5: Choose the Transaction Priority

Select the network fee priority (slow, medium, or fast):

Slow: Lower fees, but longer confirmation time.

Medium: A good balance between cost and speed ( recommended).

Fast: Higher fees for a quick confirmation.
Fees vary depending on Bitcoin network congestion. Example: 3 to 5 sat/byte, approximately €0.29 to €0.49.

For this demonstration, we choose the "Medium" option.

Step 6: Confirm and Sign the Transaction

Click "Continue".

Verify the transaction details displayed:

Recipient address

Amount in BTC

Network fees

Total amount to be deducted
If your Ledger device is locked, unlock it.

Confirm the transaction on your Ledger device by following the on-screen instructions.

Step 7: Wait for Confirmation

Once the transaction is signed, it is sent to the Bitcoin network and added to the mempool (list of pending transactions).

Confirmation time depends on network congestion and the fees selected:

Fast or Medium option: Confirmed within minutes to an hour.

Slow option: May take a day or more if the network is congested.

Final Steps with StackinSat

Once the transaction is confirmed, StackinSat will process your buyback request.
You will be notified by StackinSat about the status of your request.

Conclusion

🎉 Congratulations! You have successfully sent Bitcoin from your personal wallet for a buyback with StackinSat.
